The idea that became WAY Funner Games LLC began in 2009 after founder Larry Ashlock and his father were playing Tic Tac Toe with Larry's young nephew at a family gathering. The nephew's desire to keep playing even though the game would end in a tie was intriguing. His young mind was eager to find a path to victory despite the poor odds and limited choices. This was really the beginning a long journey which eventually became Tic Tac Match, an exciting card game alternative to traditional Tic Tac Toe that guarantees a winner every time. WAY Funner Games was founded in January 2020 and is dedicated to making games WAY funner.
One on a side note, the company name WAY Funner was inspired by the founder’s fondness for American parody artist, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and a general love of puns. The word WAY is an acronym using the letters in Al’s monogram (Weird Al Yankovic and the logo features a bright red accordion with bellows disguised as playing cards fanned open.
