Iconoclasm - Nova Suecia Games

http://novasuecia.se/iconoclasm/home.html

Fire, water, earth, air and spirit are the elements, of which worlds are created. It is your duty to unite them into a world in balance. Beware, if the balance is disturbed, the elements will clash and the unity break until only one element dominates the world. But perhaps that is what you secretly desire?

In Iconoclasm, the players represent ancient gods that create a world together. Elements are placed, units are formed and the world is in balance. But each unit is dedicated to one element only and soon they begin to clash. The iconoclasm has started and it will not end until only one element dominates the world. Iconoclasm is a simple and yet tactically deep game where the players take turns to place element tokens on the game board. Once formed in units of seven, the icon of the strongest element is placed in the unit. However, as more units are formed, the elements will clash, leaving one unit is destroyed and the other weakened. At the end, only the strongest unit will prevail and one element become the one and only. Will it be your element or will it be eliminated from the world? Play Iconoclasm and find out!

Frostbite - Neanderthal Games

"The freezing wind rips at the strappings of our hut. I feel it bite at my knuckles, slicing the flesh open. Our time here is short. The wildlife has all moved on and we must follow. We are leaving everything we know behind in search of warmth before it is too late. Even the sun does not show her face here anymore. The revenge of winter is upon us. I fear some may not make it out alive…”

In Frostbite, players collect resources and assemble huts, but must be wary of the bitter cold while doing so. The weather changes constantly and the temperature keeps falling. Players must endure until the final shelters are created!

Each player has five action points per round to use for: migrating, scouting, hunting, gathering wood, crafting shelter, and raiding other clans.

Players migrate by moving their clan member tokens. They may only gather wood in forest regions, and may only hunt in regions with wildlife. Hunting success is determined by die roll. When failing to kill wildlife, a card is drawn to determine the direction it runs away, possibly into another clan's territory. Once players have enough resources, they may build or upgrade shelters.

After each round, cards are drawn to decrease the temperature in different areas. Clan members die if they occupy a region that is too cold, but this may be mitigated by fur coats and shelters.

Only the clans that complete their villages will survive and claim victory.

The Hackers Guild - Games By Ray LLC

Do you have what it takes to accomplish the impossible?

The year is 2120 and the world’s population is still trying to overcome the devastation of the worldwide market crash of 2117. After a number of studies, it was revealed that corruption in government and the lack of unity among the government leaders caused the crash. As a result, a group of world leaders are now pushing for a single, worldwide government. Monolith Global Inc, an expert in cybernetics, has suggested that the government be run by robots, claiming that “It’s not possible for a robot to become corrupt, and as a result, they will always make the best decisions for the fate of mankind.”

However, a small number of people see this for what it really is – an attempt to enslave mankind. Known as the Hackers Guild, these rag tag freedom fighters are branded as criminals, and are living as fugitives from the law. All reasonable attempts to convince the powers that be that they are making a huge mistake have failed. The only option remaining appears to be the destruction of the program from the inside out. There is only one problem: hacking the company’s network is said to be impossible. Despite this, more and more of the common people are joining in the cause.

Time is running out for the guild as they strive to perform the impossible: hacking Monolith Global Inc and saving humanity from slavery.

The Hackers Guild is a cooperative game for 2-4 players ages 14 and up that plays in about 90 minutes. In the game, players take on the role of members of The Hackers Guild, and are trying to work together to complete the final hack against Monolith Global's data centre. Along the way, players will be able to add additional dice to their dice pool and purchase hacking tools that will make the hacks easier to accomplish.

Opposing the hackers is the Network Administrator AI whose sole objective is to track down the guild's hideout and send in the authorities to arrest the hackers, allowing Monolith Global to install their machines and enslave humankind.

Misfits For Hire - Venture 4th Games

The rest are the Misfits, a group of drunken washed up heroes who now haunt the tavern The Drunken Artist, and are your greatest hope for claiming the throne. Here goes nothing! There are two ways to win. Be the first team to kill the monster, or be the last player standing. Players draw cards from the community pile as they pursue the big bad monster, sometimes drawing cards that help them, sometimes drawing cards that help the monster. With their hand they discard cards to utilize different types of moves, like attacking the monster or stealing cards from the other groups of misfits questing after the monster as well. Defeat the monster yourself or wait until it devours everyone else, the choice is yours. Whoever lands the last hit gets the kill, so be weary of opportunistic players!

Relic Trader - Blue Fool Games

You are a FRAUD!

No, really, you are. But you're one of the best in London. You could convince a legless man to buy a pair of shoes. You could spit in a jar and sell it for medicine. You could sell a widow a charm to increase her husband's fertility. You rush forth where honest men fear to tread. Where other people see the love and joy of God, you see a chance for a profit.

Using your unscrupulous skills - and a copy of the Legenda Aurea - you work your way through the streets of medieval London, taking trash and turning it into treasure. You're just trying to help, of course, and if they're happy, who are you to let a little thing like honesty interfere with that? Why, you're doing a public service!

Your ultimate goal is to give up the life of deceit on the streets, and instead, become a lay clerk at St. Paul's Cathedral. Fortunately, you know where you can purchase, ahem, volunteer for the job. For the price of a proper bribe, why, it's a steal! Sadly, there are other citizens who share your desires, and they plan to take the job first. The first one to acquire the cash gets the job.

Good luck, God bless, and may the city guards always be looking the other way!

Clockwork Renaissance - Blue Fool Games

The year is 1525 in the Republic of Florence, and the city-state prospers under the rule of the Medici family. It is a time of artistry, of education, and of invention. All over the land, people are vying to find a patron, one of the rich noble families who will support and encourage a creative soul with their wealth, fame, and good name.

One of the members of these illustrious nobility is looking for a fresh, young mind to carry into the halls of history. To find the best and brightest, the Patron has organized a challenge. All geniuses should seek to emulate the greatest man of their time, Leonardo da Vinci, and therefore, the most worthy artist will be the one who can turn Leonardo’s dreams into reality.

As one of the Patron’s hopeful aspirants, you have been invited to one of daVinci’s private laboratories, to compete against other artists in their goal to follow in the late Master’s footsteps. Your job is to maneuver around the puzzle that is daVinci’s lab, traversing the rotating gears of his workshop, all the while assembling a team of expert engineers to study and be the first to build a replica of one of da Vinci’s designs. The first recruit to successfully assemble and test the proposed machine will win the coveted spot in the Patron’s household. Do you have what it takes to win?

The object of the game is to move around a moving gear board, with each gear offering up a different resource for your build - plans, engineers, tools, and materials. The plans tell the players what other resources they need to collect. Plans are played with cards, engineers and tools are played on tokens (so they can be left on a board location), and materials are played with shards.

Once a player has all of the resources necessary to complete his build, they can move on to the final gear to assemble their creations, and then return to the beginning of the room.

Apokalypsis - Nova Suecia Games

Apokalypsis takes the players back to the Ancient Greece. As the wrath of the Gods fall upon you, you must interpret the omens and foresee which parts of the island that will remain safe and which parts that are doomed. The wrath of the Gods causes the island of Thera to sink tile by tile. The players now struggle to interpret the omens and move onto safe land. The player or players with the most survivors at the end of the game wins. The game is played with three basic components: The meeples that the players try to save. The land tiles that form the island of Thera and that are flipped to their sea side when land turns into sea. The omen cards that tell the players which land will sink sooner and which will sink later. The players take turn to do the following: Omen: Draw 2 secret omens. Action: Move own meeples, push others’ meeples or build bridges to cross the sea. Event: Choose 1 omen to keep and 1 to return to the bottom of the pile. Add it to the omens kept so far and check if at least 2 omens hit the same land tile. If so, resolve an apocalypse. Apocalypse: Flip land tiles to sea tiles and discard meeples on them. The game ends when a player has lost all his or her meeples. Most survivors wins! Apokalypsis combines deduction and take that mechanisms. Which tiles that turn into sea are determined by the secret and collective decisions of the players. By choosing the right omens and deducing which omens the other players have seen, you may move your meeples onto safe land and push the others onto unsafe land. The game is tense and interactive, yet quick and simple.

8 Seconds - GJJ Games

8 Seconds is a press-your-luck dice and card game for 1-8 players about the action and excitement of bull riding in a rodeo. Roll your dice and match your moves to the moves of the Bulls. But beware the rodeo clowns! There are only two on staff, so if you roll a third Rodeo Clown you’ll have to fill in and you won’t score your Bull!

Components consist of 8 dice, a deck of 28 Bull cards, 30 Foul Tokens, and 8 reference cards.

Dice can have one of five different values on each face: Turn, Buck, Kick, Blank, or Rodeo Clown. Rodeo Clowns are kept, Blanks are rerolled, and everything else can either be kept or rerolled.

There is also a deck of 28 Bull cards. Each Bull requires 3-7 dice to be placed on it. Players must match their dice rolls to the moves indicated on the cards (turns, kicks, and bucks) in order to successfully ride the Bull. At the start of a player's turn they draw three Bull cards and then roll the dice. They can reroll dice as needed, according to the rules, until they either get Bucked Off (have three Rodeo Clowns, or too many Rodeo Clowns to successfully ride a Bull), choose to Dismount, or successfully Ride a Bull. After each roll, including the initial roll, the player must discard one of the their Bull cards before they can reroll. If they successfully ride a Bull before getting Bucked Off they'll get to collect that Bull card and earn the points indicated.

Throughout the game players can also earn Foul Tokens that let them reroll Rodeo Clown dice, gain extra Bulls to attempt, reroll without discarding a Bull, or earn extra points at the end of the game.

The game goes until one player has successfully ridden three Bulls, and then everyone else gets a final turn. The winner is the player with the most points in Bulls and Foul Tokens.

The Riders - Mini Expansion - The Riders is a mini expansion for 8 Seconds that adds a bit of variety by giving each player special abilities. At the beginning of the game each player will get to take on the role of a character. Throughout the game players can use their characters' special abilities to affect their turns and drive their strategies. The Riders includes 20 different characters.

Golden Buckle - Mini Expansion - The Golden Buckle mini expansion adds 12 Golden Buckle cards that require all eight dice to earn. At the beginning of each game four Golden Buckles are laid out. If any player successfully completes a Golden Buckle they may acquire it for various rewards, from extra points to special Foul Token bonuses, without counting toward the three Bull end of game trigger.

Les Petits Pirates - GJJ Games

Ahoy matey! The pirate life may seem glorious, but it’s actually quite hard work. You know, only about 1% of us pirates are successful enough to make a name for ourselves. We can’t all be Blackbeards and Sparrows. But even for a lowly working class pirate there comes a time when retirement looms on the horizon. A smart pirate knows when it’s time to save toward retirement. It’s important to bury a bit of treasure to ensure you have something to look forward to. There’s no sense in spending everything on rum and gunpowder today if it means you can’t enjoy a decadent pirate retirement someday!

Les Petits Pirates is a micro game played on a single, small game board. In Les Petits Pirates, players are pirates, working to gather resources and gold while trying to prevent their opponents from doing the same. Through action selection and dice manipulation, players will plunder, attack, and sail the seas in their quest to bury enough treasure and enjoy a decadent pirate retirement!

Features: Les Petits Pirates will be an easy game to expand for more players or larger games. A single 5.5” x 8.5” game board can support 2-3 players (possibly 4) with 3 ships each. Multiple game boards can be combined, or a larger board used to easily expand the game for 4+ players. Special rules and map also allow for solo play. More variety can be easily introduced by simply printing new maps that can be used alone or combined with other maps. The game can easily be re-themed for a variety of genres, like Vikings, Space, High Fantasy, etc. Les Petits Pirates can easily be played with just the game board and typical household items, like dice and coins, but the game lends itself to having a ‘deluxe’ edition that includes nicer components, player mats, screens, etc.

Dungeon Brawl - Tableflip Games

You and your fellow adventurers have completed what you thought was a typical dungeon crawl. With the dungeon cleared and boss defeated, the treasure is yours for the taking... or so you thought. There's a disagreement as to who gets what. Talking leads to arguing. Arguing leads to yelling. Suddenly, there's a twinkle of light and a flash of steel. Everyone reactively jumps back, weapons at the ready. Each person eyes the other as they all stare back knowingly. There's no turning back now. It's now become a Dungeon Brawl. Dungeon Brawl is a customizable, take-that, free for all for 3 to 5 players. In this 20 to 60 minute game, players draft 1 of 5 classes then customize it by constructing a deck consisting of weapons, armor, items, and abilities. Draft your treasure, then drop into the dungeon with your so-called 'friends'. Your cards determine what actions you can take. Deal out damage in order to give your opponents Wounds. Wounds are added to your deck when it runs out, slowing you down by impeding your hand size. Once the Wound deck runs out, the game ends and the adventurer with the least amount of Wounds takes all the treasure and is declared the winner!

Mars vs. Earth - Geek Fever Games

They came for our resources… They came to annihilate us… They came for our… cows?! Welcome to Mars vs Earth! In this alternate-reality, 1950’s era setting – we are not alone! Aliens from the planet Mars have secretly descended upon Earth. As a member of an elite multi-national squad, you must defend our home against the vicious, little green men as they try to abduct our wives, mutilate our cows and boil our oceans! To complicate matters (as if inside-out cows weren't bad enough), the aliens can replicate our DNA and clone human beings. They know our agency is the last line of defense and they have infiltrated our ranks. That trusted partner of yours may actually be an alien spy! Hey, I don’t remember you holding your hand over your heart during the National Anthem – when was the last time your DNA was screened? About the game: Mars vs. Earth is a simple card game, playable by 3 to 10 players in 30 to 60 minutes, that employs a modified 'hidden loyalty' system. Mars vs. Earth introduces new mechanics, such as scaled martian powers and an accusation/trial system, that sit atop a wacky theme to increase play value and enjoyment. Think your neighbor is secretly working against the agency? Keep him from leading missions, or better yet make a formal accusation and bring him to trial for his evil deeds! Of course you need to be careful - if you accidentally oust a true human from the agency they will become a lowly citizen with far fewer powers to help combat the martian threats! The game is over when either the humans have foiled enough of the martians' plans or the martians have destroyed every last human resource, be it military defenses, tech, people or food. In either case, Mars vs. Earth is guaranteed to create some of the greatest play experiences imaginable!

Plus Word - Geek Fever Games

Plus Word is a party word association game. Everyone gets a hand of seven cards, each of which has a word on it. Everyone makes three pairs of words out of these (one is left over), and comes up with a link between them. Then, players reveal their pairs of words. Everyone tries to guess what the other players chose for their link. Players get points whenever they match someone else. The player who's connected the best with other players after a few rounds is the winner! How would you connect 'COLD' and 'SCARY'? Maybe you'd think of 'YETI.' Or maybe 'AVALANCHE.' Or even 'HYPOTHERMIA.' It's up to you. But you're also trying to make a connection with the other people playing. Can you get them to think the same as you? Can you think the same as them? The better you can connect, the better you'll do.

Trash Pandas - Red Rook Games

Description from the publisher: In Trash Pandas, players are raucous raccoons, tipping over trash cans for food (and shiny objects). Players push their luck to acquire more cards, but must stash them in order for them to count as points at the end of the game. When the deck runs out, the game ends and players compare their stashes to see who has the majority for each card type and score points accordingly. The player with the most points, wins! Turn sequence: The active player rolls a die in the hopes of gaining the benefit of the roll result. With each roll, the player decides to keep rolling or stop and activate the dice results. However, with each additional roll, the odds of busting (getting a duplicate result) increase further and the player risks losing the progress they've made that round. When activating the dice results, the player will be drawing cards, stealing cards from other players, and stashing cards. Cards in hand may be used for their listed ability, but only count as points when stashed.

Hallux Rigidus - InfiNate to Elevate

Each person plays the role of a character that returns to Hallux Rigidus to gather evidence and discover the identity of the villain causing the horrors that plague this small community. Once the identity and location of the villain is discovered, the players travel to that location in an attempt to overcome and banish the villain back to the netherworld. The first player to successfully accomplish this (and retain his or her sanity) is the winner! Movement: At the beginning of each turn characters may move to any adjacent space from their present location (not diagonally). Characters are not required to move and may remain in the same space as long as they desire. A character may never enter a river space and may only cross the river by using the bridge (in the center of town). Certain character abilities and possessions may allow a character to move more than one space at a time; however, a character is not required to use their full movement capability. For example, if a character has the bicycle (Move +2) he or she may move up to three spaces each turn or not at all. Looking at Evidence Chits: After movement is completed if a character is in a building which contains an evidence chit he or she may look at that chit. Care should be taken not to reveal the chit to other players. The suspect or location found on that chit should then be secretly marked off the list found on the character growth chart. The letter on the space should also be noted so players can keep track of where each piece of evidence was collected so they don't keep revisiting the same location. Certain character abilities allow characters to view more than one evidence chit per turn. The same procedure should be used for each evidence chit examined. After a character has visited all the evidence locations, the suspect and location not marked off will reveal the solution to the mystery. Play starts with the player to the left of the dealer and moves clockwise around the table. Sequence of play When a players turn starts they draw one Free World card. If the player has less than their starting hand in Free World cards they draw up to their starting card total instead. Once the player has drawn their cards, the top Objectives card is turned over and placed in the middle of the playing field. This is mandatory and will always happen each players turn. This is the War Weariness pool. The player now has the option of attempting to take the objective (see combat) or take an additional Free World card and pass his turn to the player to his left. If you do nothing in your turn you can always draw one Free World card and this can bring your total cards above your starting hand size. There is no upper limit on the number of cards you can have in your hand. Combat When a player decides they are going to take an objective they deal out a number of NVA cards equal to the NVA score on the Objective card face down. Starting with the attacking player, each player “bids” the cards they will use in the attack by placing them face down in front of themselves. Once all players have bid their cards, the player cards are revealed and then the first NVA card in line is revealed. Add up the strength value of all exposed NVA cards each reveal phase and compare it to the total of the Free World card strength. If the NVA total is double the total strength of all the exposed Free World bid cards, the objective is overrun and lost (See losing combat). If the total is not double the attackers strength and there are more NVA cards to be revealed, the players go around again bidding more cards for the next reveal phase. This continues until all NVA cards involved in the battle are face up. If the attacking players have a higher total Strength than the strength total of all NVA cards in play then they win the objective and it is placed to the side. If there are four or more players, the attacking player now draws a number of Free World cards equal to the NVA value on the Objective that was just secured and can now give them to the other players as reinforcements. The player may only keep one card for himself and he may not look at any of the cards being distributed. This may take the player over his starting hand limit. He may then attempt to take another objective or end his turn. If an attack is declared and the players feel they can’t take the objective they can call off the attack but the player that called the attack must discard his entire hand and his turn ends. The objective is treated as if the players lost combat. Losing combat Should the players be defeated by the NVA, the objective is placed back in the War Weariness pool and a token is placed on the card. Objectives that have tokens on them add one to the NVA value for each token on the card. This is cumulative with any other effect in the game War weariness As the game progresses, cards will begin to build up in the War Weariness pool. The more cards in the War Weariness pool the more difficult it will be to take objectives. Starting with the third card in the War Weariness pool, add one to the NVA score for every Objective card. Once you have six cards in the War Weariness pool you add one more and finally when there is nine cards in the War Weariness pool you add one more for a total of +3 to the NVA score on all Objective cards. If a duplicate Objective card is added to the War Weariness pool it is shuffled back in to the deck and a token is added to the original card in the War Weariness pool instead. Ending the game If there are 10 cards in the War Weariness pool at the end of any players turn the game wins. The players win if they accumulate a total of ten points per player, 15 in a single player game. (IE a 4 player game needs to get 40 points in Objectives). The player that initiates the attack keeps the points of the objective if the players win the objective. The player with the most points when the players win is deemed the winner of the game. Note that if the game wins, no one wins.

Battle of Souls - No Limit Games, Inc.

Battle of Souls is a 2+ player trading card game. In Battle of Souls you deploy (summon) warriors of different ranks and warrior sects to drain your opponents soul points (life points) and win the game. The theme of the game carries alone with historical warriors such as Samurai, Mongolian, Roman etc.. In Battle of Souls, each player starts with 8000 life points which in our game is referred to as soul points. The objective of the game, or otherwise stated the win condition is to be the first player to reach 16000 soul points. This is done by dealing damage to your opponent from the attacks of your deployed (summoned) warriors. Each time your opponent takes damage of any type, including any cost to activate an effect, you gain that much SP (soul points) and vice versa. This mechanic insures that there will always be a definite victor and never a draw game. The second win condition is if one player runs out of cards to draw from their decks, they lose the game. GAME FLOW: Each player starts the game by drawing 5 cards from their deck to their hand. The first play to take a turn draws one additional card at the beginning of their turn. Each turn the player is able to deploy only one fighter (warrior, elite warrior, warlord, legendary warrior) to their side of the field. The first player to take his/her turn may not attack on that turn. The last player to draw is the first that can attack. The fighter cards are ranked in the following order, along with deployment requirements: Warrior > No special requirements Elite Warrior > Tribute a warrior that has 3 kill counters on it (kill counters are gained whenever a fighter destroys another fighter in battle) Warlord > Tribute an Elite Warrior with 5 kill counters on it Legendary Warrior > Tribute a Warlord with 7 kill counters on it, in addition to an Elite Warrior and Warrior on your side of the field. Equipment cards can be played face up or set face down to be used at a later time. Some are one time use and others are continuous Tactic cards are played face down on the turn you play them from your hand and may be activated by flipping face up on any turn after they were first played as long as the effect conditions are met (if any) Battlefield cards are played face up and only one Battlefield card can be active on the field at any time. If a Battlefield card is in play when another is played, the previous one is destroyed. FIELD LIMITATIONS: On the field, each player can have a maximum of 5 fighter cards in play 1 battlefield, and 6 total equipment or tactic cards PHASES: The game phases are as follows for each turn Draw phase > Player draws a card Ready phase > All fighters that are currently in rest position (This is the position a fighter is changed to after a successful attack) are switched to attack position Main phase > Player can deploy, special deploy, activate equipment, battlefield, or previously set tactic cards as well as utilize any effects whose condition is met. Battle phase > Player sends his/her warriors to fight Main phase 2: do the same as the first main phase with the exception of deploying a fighter if the player already did so during the first main phase. Special deployments are limitless and can be done any number of times up to the max allows fighters in play. End phase: player ends their turn and discards a card from their hand if they are carrying 7 or more cards in hand.

Cosmoclasm - Nova Suecia Games

http://www.novasuecia.se/cosmoclasm/home.html

The fate of the solar system is at stake as several cosmic factions struggle for supremacy. As a commander of a star fleet, it is your duty to position your forces at the right time at the right planet and claim it for your faction. Beware, the strongest faction will claim the entire planet and there is no space for runners-up in the solar system.

Cosmoclasm is a tense fight for supremacy over twelve planets of a solar system. The players take on the roles of star fleet commanders, maneuvering four different weapon systems and attempting to obtain local superiority. They do this by playing cards to increase their strength or pass to immediately assess the strength balance. Each majority allows the placement of a battle station and most battle stations claim the entire planet. However, each battle station influences several planets so a tactical loss around one planet may very well turn into a strategic victory in the solar system. To win Cosmoclasm, you must know which cards to play and which to keep to be able to win the decisive majorities.

Splendid party, wouldn’t you say? Aunt Agatha has invited her near and dear to her mansion for a weekend in the countryside. However, it is not long before valuables start disappearing and suddenly one of the guests is found murdered. Will the Inspector find the murderer before he or she strikes again? Will the Doctor keep the guests alive until the party is over? Or will the victim haunt the murder and get revenge? This party will indeed be the talk of the high society.

Mingle & Murders is a party game in several respects; it can be played by up to 10 players and it encourages the players to play the roles of English nobles on a dinner party. It's also full of hidden objectives where each player try to mingle from room to room and steal the valuable items that interest them the most before someone else does. However, it won't be long before guests start to be found dead. The murdered players are left to witness the rest of the game from the side but they will do so more intensely than the living players. Why? Because they want to trace their murderer and get back on him or her!

Mingle & Murder is a fun and quickly played game for big player groups. Following their secret objectives, the players move from room to room and leave a card of their own. At the end of the round, their hands are refreshed with cards from the rooms they've visited. They may find a valuable item but they may also fall vicitim of a murderer. This creates a tense tactical game atmosphere where the players must carefully watch each others' moves and draw conclusions. Where do I have the greatest chance of finding what I'm looking for? Which players act the most suspicious? And most important: who dunnit? Those are questions you must answer to survive the dinner party!
