There's a variety of roles open within the Indie Game Alliance! In addition to the positions listed here, we're always looking for volunteer Minions to demo games and work conventions. Account Executive
Employee Type: Independent Contractor
Account Executives will work with between 10 and 35 Member Publishers as liaisons between their organizations and the IGA. Account Executives maintain constant relationships with their client lists, with a minimum of one contact per month. You'll be the primary point of contact for your clients, and will give each client personal and knowledgable assistance to maximize their IGA experience. This is a work-from-home position and should provide excellent opportunities to supplement your existing income. Your objectives will include:
Extend invitations to clients to book demo presence and other events at conventions
Ensure IGA is aware of new and upcoming games, Kickstarter campaigns, and expansions the client is working on
Request stock as necessary to keep IGA's retail wholesaling operation stocked
Personally ensure clients are getting the most out of their IGA membership by utilizing available services and partner discounts
Account executives automatically represent new clients they recruit, and earn a 10% commission on all IGA revenue they generate from their clients, including:
Sales of client games at conventions and wholesale to retailers (you receive 10% of IGA's cut of sales)
Membership fees
Convention revenue
IGA a la carte services
The desired candidate:
Has an outgoing and friendly attitude
Is knowledgeable about his or her clients' games and culture
Can devote on average 1-2 hours per month per client
Is proficient with social media and other forms of electronic communication
Is an excellent communicator in any language(s) spoken
Is a gamer first and a salesperson second
Is a United States citizen or is documented to legally work in the United States
The ideal candidate also:
Is multilingual
Attends or is willing to attend at least one major convention a year
Has some sales experience
Is proficient with customer relationship management (CRM) software
